Ordering repeat prescriptions
The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:
- using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
- using the GP online system: SystmOnline
- via Accurx
- tick the medication(s) you require only, from the list attached to the prescription form, then post it or bring it in to the surgery
The phone line for prescription queries is open between 10am and 1pm Monday to Friday. If you have a query regarding your medication/prescription this can be put through on the Accurx system for a clinician to review and respond.
We do not accept phone requests for repeat prescriptions.
Collecting your prescription
Please allow 3 working days for us to process your request after which your prescription will be sent to your nominated pharmacy for dispensing to await your collection.
You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Questions about your prescription
If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.
If you would like to speak to someone at the GP surgery about your prescription:
- use the Accurx service
Medication reviews
If you have a repeat prescription, you will need a regular review, this is normally undertaken over the telephone, we will contact you when this is due and booked.
