How to use the Repeat Precription page

To register to use the Repeat Prescriptions Manager.

  1. Go to http://www.EastLynneMedicalCentre.co.uk/ and on the home page click ‘Order Repeat Medication’.
  2. Click Register now and follow instructions by adding email address and setting password.
  3. You will be sent a confirmation email which you must open and click ‘Confirm my Registration’.  You are then directed to the website to enter Repeat Prescriptions Manager.
  4. Fill in your patient details, then click step 2.  In drug box enter the details of your required medication.  You can find this information on your repeat prescription slip. Once you start adding the drug name, a drop down list appears to aid you in choosing the right medication, e.g. if you type ASPI, it will give you the options for ASPIRIN, e.g. Aspirin 300 mgs, Aspirin 75 mgs dispersible etc. Please be careful in adding the right medication, although these will always be checked by the Prescription Clerk and you will not be issued any medication that you have not had before.
  5. The ‘Strength’ is the dose that you take, e.g. one a day, one am, one pm etc.  This information can either be found on your repeat prescription slip or on the medication sticker from the pharmacy.
  6. The ‘Required’ box is for you to tick when you need that medication. (Untick if you don’t require it.)
  7. Click step 3. ‘Other Details’ is for any information you wish to add e.g. medication needed early because going on holiday or Dr has told me to increase my Simvastation to twice a day etc.  The information you give will help the Prescription Clerk to deal with your prescription promptly.  Do not give medical information or ask questions here as these will not be able to be answered.
  8. You can then choose from the drop down list from where you wish to collect the prescription.  All our local chemists are on this list.
  9. You can then send your request.
  10. Once sent if you click to expand the Repeat Request History you can view when your request has been viewed and whether it has been approved or not.  If it has not been approved you will be advised to contact the practice.  Your request may not be approved if you are asking for your medications too early or if you are asking for medications that you have not had before.
  11. Once registered and you have filled in your medication it will be stored, so next time you just tick whether the medication is required or not.  If you have new medications added you can just add them or delete them as necessary.  Check your medication before ordering and only order what you need.
  12. You may click on New Patient to add another family member using the same email address, if required.
